A Million Reasons To Smile
We have traveled to Nairobi – defeating the Matatu Strike – for In Service Training. We will learn many skills this week such as; constructing wells, digging boreholes, how to ask and receive grants, grow nutritious kitchen gardens, and how to make Eco-charcoal. We will also see all of our friends, take hot showers, eat good food and have 3 tea breaks a day. I can’t really decide what is the most exciting!!
We have a lot of fun plans with our friends. It feels like vacation has already started! Last night a few of us sat outside under the stars and just bragged on one another. We traded stories of our friends accomplishments and then raved about how much we loved each other! Tonight we are going for pizza and karaoke. I am excited to grace everyone in Nairobi with my beautiful (dying cat) singing voice. – maybe Brett and I will duet! We are going to the pool and dancing on Saturday and on Sunday we are going to the MOVIES!!!!!!!!! What!!!! I’m pumped. We can get a hot dog, popcorn and a coke for 4 bucks!
Mostly we have had a chance to ask Peace Coprs many MANY questions about what our service should look like and also what to expect for the elections. We don’t have anymore answers but all of the rumors have been addressed and – if nothing else – I know we will be safe.
Sorry I havent posted much recently but life is moving fast- finally- and we have had terrible Internet service. So maybe I will have a chance to catch you up on our projects soon! We do have a lot going on!!

SO GLAD TO HEAR FROM YOU AGAIN, I WAS GETTING CONCERNED ABOUT THE ELECTIONS COMING UP. SOUNDS LIKE YA’LL ARE HAVING SOME WONDERFUL TIMES WITH FRIENDS, AS WELL AS HELPING & LEARNING . THIS IS SUCH CRAZY WINTER, IT’S BEEN UP IN THE 60′S FOR A FEW DAYS. OF COURSE THAT’S GOOD ON HEATING BILLS. WE’RE GOING TO TIFFYS COOKIE & ORNAMENT PARTY THIS SATURDAY.
